Time for a little red carpet gazing at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Here are some of the looks that caught our eyes at the 2011 Oscars:
Fiery Hot Hues
Deep burgundy, spicy paprika and zesty tangerine orange, these ladies shows how to stand out in red on the red carpet. From left: Sandra Bullock in strapless Vera Wang gown with split at the bust, Jennifer Hudson in halter neck Versace gown with origami pleated skirt (LOVE!), Anne Hathaway in Valentino and Penelope Cruz in a wine red L’Wren Scott dress with embroidered detail.
Purple Reigns
Red carpet royalty in shades of purple: Mila Kunis in a romantic lavender Elie Saab Couture (beautiful dress but color washes her out a bit), best actress Natalie Portman looks regally elegant in plum off-shoulder Rodarte gown, Cate Blanchett in a you-either-love-it-or-hate-it pale lavender Givenchy Couture gown and Scarlett Johansson showed some sexy back in a berry hued lace Dolce & Gabbana gown with cutout detail at the back.
It Sparkles
Michelle Williams in bead-encrusted Chanel Couture, Halle Berry in strapless Marchesa gown with asymmetric ruffle detail, Anne Hathaway on stage hosting in an off-white Givenchy couture bustier gown (she also presented in a burgundy Atelier Versace gown and Lanvin tux which we adore!) and Hailee Steinfeld in lovely powder hued tea-length Marchesa gown with gorgeous beading.
