The Anne Barge Fall 2024 bridal collection pays homage to Nantucket, with soft, flowing silhouettes and delicate lace details that bring to mind the island’s effortlessly elegant, coastal charm:
“Incorporating a palette of textured whites and ivory fabrics, the gowns sway with an effortless grace that mirrors the cobblestone streets. Silk Faille and organza flowers have been hand embroidered onto the gowns; reminiscent of the vibrant hydrangeas that bloom across Nantucket Island.”
The photoshoot was taken at the Mitchell-Andrews Fish house, Four Old North Wharf. The current building replaced an earlier carpentry shop owned by the Mitchell family after the original burned down in Nantucket’s “Great Fire” of 1846. Today, it functions as a working Scallop Shanty, where local fishermen open their bay scallop catches during the winter season.
